Urban Fossils receives a creative web award

On Saturday 04 September 2010, Urban Fossils was nominated as the site of the day and received a web award for its creativity and its web design excellence. Showcased on Design Licks, Urban Fossils is recognised as one of the web awards winners for year 2010.

Urban Fossils at a glance

Art Photography project by Yohannes Artinyan. A photographic portrait of two fossilized building complexes. The graphic design is based on non uniform grid for thumbnails and multi-column text layout. The navigation is alternative and is possible in three ways: drop and drag; by using the keyboard arrows; by context menu %u2013 on right click. Custom programming modules in the project: text engine, dynamic random non uniform grid, custom Pixel Bender filters, transition engine, custom Photoshop filters, etc.
